Eduardo Ferraudi

Arranger, composer, singer and choir conductor. He took courses on choir directing with Robert Sund (Sweden), Néstor Andrenacci (Argentina), Josep Prats (Spain), Verner Pfaff (Germany) and he studied mastering in harmony and composition with Manolo Juárez.

He has been director and arranger of vocal groups, principally dedicated to Argentine and Latin American folk music. Nowadays he is singer, director and arranger of the folk vocal quintet Albahaca and the chamber choir Vocal Consonante.

He also conducts “Taller Coral ECuNHi” y “Ensamble Coral A Redoblar” choirs. He is the author of many popular music choral arrangements, most of which have been performed by well known Argentine vocal groups. Some of these are published by Ediciones GCC

In 1998 he obtained the First prize in the First Choral Works National Contest, organized by Encuentros Corales Bonaerenses. In 1999 he took part in the first Meeting of popular Argentine music arrangers, organized by GCC (Grupo de Canto Coral) This event was declared of National Interest by the National Secretary of Culture.

In March of 2005 was edited his first book, “Los Arreglos Corales en la Música Popular. Elementos necesarios para su creación”, one of the first argentine texts with information and elements for the composition of Argentine Popular Music Choral arrangements.

He is the chair of Harmonic Instrument at the City Hall Music Institute of Avellaneda, Buenos Aires province.

Nowadays he make up workshops of Argentine folk vocal music in several Argentine provinces and he is juror in contests of vocal arrangements and contests of popular music choirs.

Recently, the new CD of his vocal group Albahaca, “Perspectivas” won the Second Prize of the “Concurso Régimen de Fomento para Ediciones Discográficas de Música Folklórica Argentina, Fondo Nacional de las Artes" –2007-.
